![]() ![]() I don't claim to be a programmer or anything but maybe my idea is on the right track. My idea (which I haven't a flippin clue on whether it's good or not) is to have servers that force users to redownload official "clean" client everytime you click 'join server'. Help me brainstorm ways that mod makers / server hosters / or even Mojang themself can help eliminate pesky hacked clients from ever getting on servers. But what if there was a glimmer of hope? What form might it take? It sure seems impossible to stop hacked clients all together. Also hackers always find new ways past continually updating anti-cheats. But even dedicated people can't monitor hackers 24/7. Obviously dedicated servers with anti-cheat mods/plugins are your best bet when it comes to hacker protection. The spawn-protection setting in server.properties set to about 70 (but people are still managing to break individual blocks somehow). Books and quills are removed from peoples inventories to prevent them from using them to hack. Depending on your OS your Minecraft folder is different: Updating We planned an updater and now it is technically easily possible, but. Command blocks kill any activated TNT in the spawn protected area. Useful anti-cheat mods/plugins (like NC+) can automatically kick someone for flying but anti-cheats aren't as helpful with other things such as when someone uses _finder on a hacked client.
